Apple Cider Pulled Pork



Tender, juicy pulled pork infused with the flavors of apple cider and warming spices. This recipe is perfect for gatherings or busy weeknights when you want a delicious meal ready with minimal effort.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 lb pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Instructions:

In the bottom of the slow cooker, put sliced onions

Spice up the pork shoulder with nutmeg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper

In the slow cooker, put the pork shoulder on top of the onions

Apple cider, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar should all be mixed together in a bowl

Cover the pork with the sauce

Cook the pork until it is soft and falls apart easily

You can do this on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 6 hours

Take the pork out of the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it

Put the cooked pork back in the slow cooker and add the cooking juices

BBQ sauce of your choice should go on top of the buns
